The first two quarter-finals games of the Euros 2020 have kicked off and the fans seemed to predict the outcome of the games without an upset on the night. Switzerland has finally been defeated out of the tournament after knocking out France in the Round of 16. Their tournament ended when Spain beat them on penalties 3–1. Yann Sommer from Borussia Mönchengladbach sadly couldn’t hold them off another penalty saving win.

Italy celebrate after the full-time whistle goes off and proceed through to the semi-finals

Lukaku’s tournament has also come to an end after Belgium’s 2–1 loss against Italy today. Italy has only conceded two goals in the whole tournament and will now be versing the Red Fury, Spain in the semi-finals. All of the three goals in the match were scored during the first half with Italy’s Nicolò Barella from Lukaku’s club Inter Milan and Lorenzo Insigne banging in the second goal in the 44th minute. Romelu Lukaku managed to score Belgium’s only goal for the game in a penalty right before half time in the 45+2 minute mark. Italy has been looking strong this whole tournament and hasn’t conceded a lot of goals with Paris Saint-German’s newly signed goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Tomorrow we find out if it is really coming home when England vs Ukraine. Oleksandr Zinchenko facing his Manchester City teammates from England, Phil Foden, Kyle Walker, John Stones and Raheem Sterling who has been on point in this tournament so far with three goals on his scorecard. The Czech Republic team alongside Patrik Schick will be also facing Denmark tomorrow to see who goes through the semi-finals of the Euros 2020. Patrik Schick has been an underdog this tournament so far and will probably be looking to upset the Danish tomorrow. The loss of Christian Eriksen in Denmark’s first game against Finland hasn’t been the best for the Danish side. However, their 4–0 win against Wales definitely gave them a boost of confidence going into this game. 4–0 was the biggest score of the Round of 16 so the Denmark attack will be looking to bang in some goals tomorrow when versing the Czechs.

In some recent transfer rumours, RB Leipzig has signed 25 year old André Silva from Eintracht Frankfurt for €35M. Both clubs are yet to announce the transfer and we can also confirm that medical treatments from Leipzig were completed today. Chelsea is also in rumours with Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Everton if they are unable to sign 22 year old Erling Haaland from Norway. In more talk about the blue side of Liverpool, Paris Saint-German are working hard to bring Moise Kean back to France after his one year loan from Juventus. They would prefer a loan unless there is an option to buy. It’s up to Everton if the 21 year old returns. The striker also said he would prefer to play for PSG next season.
